On 11–12 July 2026, our Preclinical & Translational working group held its first in-person meeting, and it was a special one for two reasons:
1️⃣ It brought together an inspiring group of researchers, professionals and pioneers working to advance the research, development and implementation of psychedelic medicines.
2️⃣ It was an official FENS Forum 2026 Satellite Event of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies.
Over two days, we got to know one another, exchanged ideas and set out WG2’s objectives and future activities. Our expertise spans:
🔹 Fundamental research into the mechanisms of action of established and emerging psychedelic compounds
🔹 Translational research and methodological harmonisation
🔹 Regulatory and business perspectives, which increasingly intersect with academic research and innovation
A special thank you to our speakers:
⭐ Prof. Philippe De Deurwaerdère (University of Bordeaux)
⭐ Dr Danilo De Gregorio (San Raffaele Scientific Institute)
⭐ Dr Adam Wojtas (Maj Institute of Pharmacology, Polish Academy of Sciences)
⭐ Prof. Sándor Nárdai (Semmelweis University)
