On 8 September, members of our Clinical working group met to review progress across task teams, align priorities and plan the next steps in clinical psychedelic research. Discussions covered neuroimaging, clinical trial design, psychological support and methodology, with a shared emphasis on harmonised approaches, robust study design and collaboration across disciplines.

The day continued with the symposium “Keeping the Psychedelic Promise: From Bench to Bedside”, hosted at the Champalimaud Foundation and attended by 85 participants on-site and 49 online.

Expert talks explored:

🔹 Neuroimaging protocols and psychedelic mechanisms of action
🔹 Training and competency standards in psychological support
🔹 Methodological rigour in psychedelic clinical trials
🔹 The psychedelic experience as a clinical intervention in psychiatry

A lively panel discussion closed the event, highlighting the value of collaboration in moving psychedelic research from fundamental science to clinical practice.

A big thank you to all speakers, contributors and participants. We look forward to the collaborations that will grow from these discussions! 🚀
