Dissemination conference grants

1.  What is a Dissemination conference grant

“Dissemination Conference grant funds an oral presentation by an Action Participant of the work of the Action in a high-level conference fully organized by a third party, i.e. not organized nor co-organized by the COST Action. Dissemination Conference grant a) Significantly increases visibility of the Action in the research community, and can contribute to increasing visibility of the presenter; b) Attracts additional participants and stakeholders and disseminates Action results to relevant end-users at high profile conferences in the field on a topic relevant to the Action. ”

3.  Financial support

Dissemination conference grants are a contribution for travelling, accommodation and subsistence expenses, registration fee, printing of scientific poster and overall effort. No invoices are required. Conference grants are awarded up to a maximum of 2,500€ for face-to-face conferences, and 500 € for online conferences. A detailed budget is requested for the application.

4.  The grant awarding process:

The supported activity, including reporting and payment, must be carried out entirely within one Grant Period. Each Grant Period runs from the 1 November until the 31 October of the following year.

Applications will be evaluated based on their quality and their relevance to the objectives of PSY-NET and its Working Groups. To avoid unnecessary delays, each application will first be screened by the Grant Awarding Coordinator to verify that it is complete and relevant to the Action. Incomplete applications will be rejected, with the possibility to resubmit. Irrelevant applications will be rejected and cannot be resubmitted.

Applications that pass the initial screening will be reviewed by the Grant Evaluation Committee. Members of the Grant Evaluation Committee will be nominated by the Working Group leaders (1-2 persons per WG). The assessment will focus on the relevance of the proposed activity to the Action. The final decision will be made by the Core Group. Successful applicants will receive an official grant award letter.

Please note, the selection policy promotes gender balance.

5.  Submission of the report and payment

The applicant claims the payment of the grant via e-COST when the activity has ended, and the report is submitted and accepted. For this, the grantee submits the report using the Dissemination conference report template before 15 October. The template for the report is here.

Notes:

Each publication produced with support of a Dissemination conference grant should acknowledge the support of the COST Action and whenever possible use the COST and PSY-NET logo (on slides and posters).
